Jim Miller
Jim is one of the most dedicated, wholehearted
guitar players in existence today & to give less
than his all on stage is something unknown to
him. With his signature Carter Stanley,
crosspickin' style, he adds the true
Bluegrass/Mountain style that makes up much of
what IS the Godspeed sound. He has also written
many songs that we have recorded on both of our
CD's. Jim has always loved Bluegrass music and
once he decided to play guitar, his reach toward
excellence has only grown stronger. In his "early
years" he recorded and traveled with Tommy
Crank. It was around that same time he met up
with a young man named Dave Marshall and
their love for music has bonded them as close
friends ever since. When the two of them get
together now, we affectionately call them the
"Gruesome Twosome" cause they can really drive
us crazy sometimes. Jim is Donna's brother and
according to them both, they are the best of
friends. They have nothing but mutual respect for
each other in music... in life. (In spite of all the
joking that goes on between them on stage.)
