There are not enough web pages to contain all that Christina has meant and still means to Godspeed. Since she first sang with us over eight years ago, she has been the awesome high part of our harmony and is now a forever member of our family. The creativity with which she uses her vocal ability is matched only by her unique style of playing the mandolin. Christina is featured in many songs on both of our CD projects and will be part of our next recording which will be a mix of the "old" Godspeed and the "new". She has recorded with several groups and also has a solo project entitled "This Journey". In the spring of 2006, Christina took yet another step ahead in her music career and formed what is now known as "Dover Creek". We are certain to miss her terribly, already do, and she's not all the way gone...yet. Take a look at their website below and keep your eyes and ears open for "Dover Creek".

Myrtle is the Mother of Jim Miller and Donna Carr and is the one whom they both credit with instilling in them the love of gospel music, especially bluegrass gospel music. She is an inspiration to us all to always keep going and "never, never, never give up". Myrtle is a retired school teacher of 30 plus years, but the unspoken lessons she is still teaching are priceless. At 74 years young, she travels with us as often as she can and always wows the crowd with her beautiful, mountain style of singing. Her signature song"He's Alive", is one, Lord willing, that we plan to have her record on our next CD project. She is a wonderful person and we love her very, very much.
If you know anything about Bluegrass Gospel music, you already know Dave. He is literally a musical genius. Dave is an original member of the legendary Marshall Family, was a regular guest at Renfro Valley for several years, and has penned many, many gospel songs over his lifetime. He has also played with such people as J.D. Crow, Ralph Stanley, the Forbes Family and many more. Now once in a while, he plays with Godspeed! Dave is a dear friend and mentor to us, helping us arrange songs and filling in when we need him. He is featured on our "Have Faith" CD, playing the banjo and guitar on a few of the songs. He also helped Donna arrange Have Faith and The Stranger, also featured on the "Have Faith" project. In '05 Dave travelled to Nashville with us & performed at the Sullivan Family Gospel Bluegrass Showcase, it was an honor to be on stage with such a talented friend.
