This is our newest member, DJ Smith.
DJ is eleven years old & in the 5th grade at Heritage
Academy in Florence, Ky. He is the grandson of Jim
Miller.
Jim began working seriously with DJ back in March
of 2008 teaching him the "art" of cross pickin' on the
guitar when he wanted to learn the kick off to a song
Donna wrote entitled "The Stranger". He wanted to
be the one to play guitar for her on that particular
song cause it is a true story about his Great Grandpa,
Lonnie Miller witnessing to a homeless man out
west.
DJ obviously has a God given talent as he is already a
very accomplished guitarist and plays with an ability
way beyond his years. He is constantly learning new
songs and diligently practicing the ones he already
knows, always striving for excellence. He has been
playing with Godspeed now since July and we are
very blessed to have him with us.
Watch out Jim, you may end up being the bus driver
after all!
